What I need to be a nanny

We usually seek dedicated and nurturing women to provide quality care for children in a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. A nanny can live in or out and work between 20 to 40 hours per week in the short or long term.

A Nanny is responsible for the overall well-being and development of the children, including daily activities, educational support, and emotional care.

To become a nanny, you need at least:

Education:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Early childhood education or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, caring for children of various ages.

Certifications:
– CPR and First Aid Certification (required).
– Background Check

Knowledge & Skills:
– Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
– Ability to plan and implement educational and recreational activities.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift and carry children up to 30 lbs.
– Able to stand, walk, and actively engage with children for extended periods.
– Comfortable with performing household tasks, such as cleaning and meal preparation.

What I need to be a Babysitter

We usually look for responsible and caring women to provide short-term care for children in a safe and engaging environment. A babysitter usually works after school, play dates, overnights, weekends or eventually when the parents have a need.

A Babysitter is responsible for supervising children, ensuring their safety, and engaging them in age-appropriate activities such as games, reading, and crafts. Follow parents’ instructions regarding bedtime routines

To become a babysitter you need at least:

Education:
– High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
– Previous experience in childcare or babysitting is preferred.

Certifications:
– CPR and First Aid Certification (required)
-Background Check.

Knowledge & Skills:
– Basic understanding of child care and safety practices.
– Ability to engage children in creative and educational activities.
– Good communication and problem-solving skills. – Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift and carry children up to 20 lbs.
– Able to sit, stand, and play on the floor with children. – Comfortable performing basic household tasks, such as cleaning up after meals or activities.

Play-Based Nanny – in North Etobicoke!

We are looking for a Nanny to help a new working Mom with an 18-month-old Toddler.

Your role will be focused on engaging the child in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play. You will provide attentive and responsible care, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Child-related duties include preparing and feeding meals, bathing and clothing, age-appropriate play, visits to the park, nap time routine, and light household duties, such as meal prep, laundry help, and keeping the home tidy and organized.

Long-term contract

Schedule: 8 H per day / 3 days per week – Wednesday – Thursday – Friday

9 am to 5 pm. Flexible to switch days with the previous schedule.

Hourly Rate: $20-$25/depending on experience

Location: Toronto, Etobicoke M9R

Start Date: August

Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play.
  • Child-related duties, including preparing and feeding meals, bathing and clothing, age-appropriate play, visits to the park, nap time routine, etc.
  • Conduct the children’s daily schedules according to the parent’s requirements.
  • This childcare-focused position requires light household duties, such as meal prep, laundry help, and keeping the home tidy and organized.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding the children’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • +2 years of experience as a Nanny.
  • High school diploma, GED, or higher academic certification.
  • A degree in education, child development, psychology, Early Childhood Education or a related field (is an asset)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required.
  • Childcare/Nanny references are required.
  • Proof of Covid Vaccination (at least two doses)
  • A clean Criminal record
  • Live in Toronto near M9R – Valid Work Permit
